Who We Are

Get Busy Living - by Greg Early

Everyone ages. It is an inherent property of life. As our bodies and minds develop over time, we adapt to these changes by modifying our decisions and actions. The later years of life can be especially challenging, but Average Retire G is here to help. At Average Retire G, we are here to help retirees transition from the work life and enter into the good life.  Average Retire G is here to assist the average gal (lady) or guy (man) to enjoy the fruits of their labor.  Average Retire G was founded by a retiree (like you) looking to share ideas and thoughts on living a good, meaningful and purpose filled life.  The purpose of this content is intended to help the entire retirement community know that we are not in this journey alone.  If you want to find the joys of life, I strongly advise you to subscribe to our fast-growing community.

My name is Greg Early and I am a "Average Retire G."  I founded and started this website with the sole purpose to reach out to those who are in retirement and those who will  be retiring soon.  There are over 40 million retirees in the United States alone today.   Together we can make the transition from what we use to do and find  joys and pleasures of our new journey .

If you are looking for different ways and ideas for spending the best part of your life, you came to the right spot.  Remember, you are not traveling alone.  Hopefully, you will find that by connecting with  others  at Average Retire G (Gals & Guys) that life can be good for those who are willing to live.

FRUIT OF THE WEEK

The Apple

The scriptures' talk about not eating the forbidden fruit.  If you are reading this article today, then you are a testament of someone who has passed the test.  Your ability to understand the basic laws of survival is one of the reasons that you are still residing in the land of the living. Being obedient to the scriptures' has allowed you to withstand the test of time.  Aging is such a beautiful thing.  As the trees mature and changes during the different seasons, the body does as well.  Remember, that everything will rejuvenate itself and blossom again.  Learn to take care of your body, soul and spirit and you will continue to live a long prosperous life.

BASIC LIVING

The body is a temple and we were entrusted with one body for a reason.  It is our duty to make sure that we do everything within our power to take care of the one thing that cannot be totally replaced and is the most precious asset one has and cannot be bought.  Take the first step and learn to take care of yourself.  Sleep is an important ingredient and should not be overlooked.  Secondly, eat the right kind of foods.  As we age the body does not take abuse or neglect, kindly.  Finally, make sure that you are seeking the proper medical care on a routine basis and whenever you are not feeling good. Remember, that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

TESTIMONIALS

Making it thru another holiday.

As we approach the year end, we enter the holiday season which holds what I personally consider the most important celebration of the year. The birth of Jesus Christ, my Lord & Savior. Christmas is a time of year where all my fellow retirees need to not only reflect on what happened this year, but it can also be a time to connect and reconnect with family & friends. And in some cases, reach out and make new friends.

My fellow retirees, I reach out to you today to say that no one should spend this holiday season alone. No matter where you live, there are agencies in your area designed to help retirees make this a joyful and memorable time of the year for you.

This is also a time of year, not only to reflect on the past, but to start planning for a new year that will be coming in the next few weeks. Now is the time to not look at what you didn't do this year, but to start setting goals for next year.

Some people retired this year and some people have been retired for years. There are some people who will be retiring either next year or the coming years.

I am excited what 2024 has to offer all retirees and what Average Retire G has planned for this new year. I ask you to join me in 2024 and check back and check in regularly (preferably weekly) to see what Average Retire G has to offer.

Whatever you do this holiday season, please reach out to a family member, friend, neighbor (someone you know and trust) or find a agency in your area that focuses on helping retirees.

Please don't spend this holiday season alone, I know in my heart that it was not God's intention for us to be isolated or alone. Remember, that joy (happiness) is the second most used word in the Bible.

We shall reconnect soon, stay safe and God Bless,

Greg from Average Retire G
